Download Android Marshmallow Firmware On Galaxy Note 5 & Install Using Odin

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 5 will start receiving Android 6.0 update probably after a month. It seems to be  long time for the developers so they started to look for a way to grab the update and make it public for everyone to download.

A Note 5 developer was able to download Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware of the Galaxy Note 5 by ruining the IMEI number and baseband number. After this other developers start working and they released Galaxy Note 5 System Dump. But they didn’t stopped. They created also a flashable file for Odin so everyone can enjoy Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Galaxy Note 5.

It’s not a Custom ROM, it is the official Samsung’s TouchWiz variant of Android Marshmallow. It is improved a lot and offer many new features to its users. For now only Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920T can enjoy it but it will be available for other versions soon. So if you own this version of Galaxy Note 5 go ahead and install Android Marshmallow firmware using Odin.

How to install Android Marshmallow on Galaxy Note 5 Using Odin

To get started download the Note 5 Marshmallow software. It is a zip file so you will need to extract it. Once extracted you will see three different files, one for the bootloader (BL), one for the system and kernel (AP) and one for the modem (CP).

Now on your computer open Odin and click in BL Tab and select the right file. Then click on AP Tab and CP Tab choosing the right files for each one of them.

Turn off your phone and wait for at least 10 second and the boot in into Download Mode. To do that press Home + Volume Down + Power Button at the same time. Check the ID:COM box and if turns blue than your phone is connected properly to PC if not then you have to reinstall the proper drivers.

So once your phone is connected all you have to do is to click Start on Odin and wait for it to flash the firmware. Once it finishes simply reboot your phone and enjoy Android Marshmallow on Galaxy Note 5.

If your device get stuck at the boot animation, boot your phone into Recovery and from there Wipe Data and Cache and your are done.
