Samsung Secure Folder is a security feature which separates apps and their data and also personal files from the rest of the device. All the data are being protected by an authentication method like password, pattern or fingerprint. The file you choose will be sandboxed separately from the other part and it can be accessed only if you have the authentication code.

We saw this feature for the first time on Galaxy Note 7 and for quite a long time it was a Note 7 exclusive. Samsung decided to make this feature available also to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge running on Android 7.0 Nougat. Now you can easily download Samsung Secure Folder on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Make sure your device is running Stock TouchWiz Android 7.0 Nougat firmware. To verify this go to Settings > About Device and you will notice the firmware version. If it’s 7.0.x you’re good to go and install secure folder on Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge.

How to install Secure Folder on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

To install Secure Folder on Galaxy S7 and it’s Edge brother is quite simple. It isn’t much you have to do.

Firstly download the Secure Folder from the Galaxy Apps and sign in with your Samsung account. Once you sign in you can start moving your data. There is an option “Move to Secure Folder”.

You can even configure the settings as you need. There are various option to choose from.
