Here are some workaround solutions how to fix call dropping problem on Galaxy Note 3

The first thing you should try if the problem persists too often is to boot the phone into safe mode and check if the call will drop again or not.

To boot the Galaxy Note 3 into safe mode press and hold the Power button and once the Samsung logo appears on the screen press and hold the Volume down key until the lock screen appears. When the phone boots into safe mode you will notice a sign on the bottom left corner.

Now that you have successfully booted your device into safe mode try to make a call. If it is working fine then probably one of your installed apps may be causing the issue. Safe mode disables all the installed apps and loads the phone with the basic apps.

In this case, we would recommend to do a factory reset and also wipe cache and Dalvik Cache. In this way, your phone will be kinda new. If you don’t want to factory reset your Note 3 you can delete the installed apps one by one and try to figure out which is causing the issue. This will be more time-consuming.

Sometimes to fix call dropping problem on Galaxy Note 3 you may want to try something else before going to factory reset the phone.

Sometimes the problem might be related to the local network and carrier. So try to change your sim card and see if the problem still exists. If it’s related to the carrier then you may ask them if there is an issue or maybe your sim card can be too old and need to be replaced.

Also, try to change your PRL (Preferred Roaming List) because a lot of people have reported that this has solved the problem. Try to use PRL Helper app and find a list of numbers at the XDA Developers.

Another useful solution might be to install a Custom ROM. We would recommend installing Flyme 4.1.2R OS. If the problem is a software bug, installing a Custom ROM will fix it. Make sure you have the right knowledge about Custom ROMs before going to install any. If you want to check for a ROM for your device you can take a look here.

If you don’t want to risk trying to fix the issue by yourself then it would be helpful if you contact your carrier, Samsung or retailer and ask them to fix the issue or for a replacement.
