How To Fix Galaxy S5 Insufficient Internal Memory Problem

Galaxy s5 memory full, galaxy s5 storage problems

Galaxy S5 owners have reported another problem. It’s kinda weird because when you try to download and install an app from Play Store it will show a pop-up message saying “Insufficient Internal Memory”. Even though you may have enough free space on your phone memory still this problem may occur.

Galaxy S5 memory full is not such a big problem and if you have been using an Android device for a while now you may know it’s just a small software issue that can be quickly fixed.

Moreover, the ‘Insufficient Storage Available’ error happens also when transferring files from PC or with Bluetooth from other phones. After checking the phone free memory and it shows there is enough free space to install not only a single app but many apps, this makes us think this is a software related problem and for sure can be easily fixed.

Sometimes, Galaxy storage problems happen when you have installed a plethora of apps and downloaded many data files such as photos and music and then deleted back this files.

The system may not have recorded that you have deleted some of these files and released some free space. Since the phone system hasn’t noticed this it shows the Galaxy S5 memory full error.

Even though it seems such an annoying problem, don’t worry because it can be fixed quite easily. In this post, we will share with you some actionable tips how to fix insufficient internal memory available on Galaxy devices.

Clear application cache

Every application has a temporary cache where all the temporary files that are using the phone memory are stored. Galaxy devices accumulate many data cache because it helps the phone to run smoother and faster. Even if you delete them still it won’t be any big difference. Also, from time to time it’s needed to clear the cache just to increase the phone performance.

To clear cache boot your phone into recovery and there is an option there to clear cache and Dalvik cache. It’s recommended to clear the cache from recovery mode or by using a third-party application. Do not try to clear the cache manually for every single app. Make sure to delete only app cache and not data because you will lose personal information.

Make a Soft Reset

Soft Reset cleans any temporary files and frees up some space on phone’s internal memory. You can perform a soft reset by following the steps below.

  1. Turn off the phone.
  2. Remove the battery and wait for at least 30 seconds.
  3. Insert the battery and turn on the phone.

Firmware Problem

If the problem still exists, then the firmware you are running might be corrupted or it’s not installed properly. So try to install a stock galaxy firmware again or a custom ROM. Once you flashed a new ROM be sure to wipe data and perform a factory reset.
