Download ElementalX Custom Kernel for Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

Requirements

• Unlocked bootloader
• Fastboot and ADP installed on your PC
• Enable developer options
• TWRP recovery
• SuperSU and Magsik(not mandatory)

Install the ADB and FastBoot

• The first and foremost process in the installation of ElementalX custom kernel is by installing ADB and FastBoot software in your PC. It is mandatory to install them.
• They are available in the zip format, unzip them and save them in a folder.

Unlock the Bootloader of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

• Backup the data present on the phone.
• Now open the settings>system>about phone.
• In About Phone tap on the build number for seven times.
• The phone enters into the developer mode.
• Open the developer settings and open the USB debugging and OEM unlocking.
• Connect the phone to your PC via USB cable.
• Go to adb and fastboot folder. Hold shift and right click on a blank space. Open a command prompt window there and type the following code:

fastboot flashing unlock or fastboot flashing unlock_critical

• Open Magsik manager and tap on install button.
• Now your device has been rooted.

How to install ElementalX Kernel on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

After installation of TWRP recovery and Ex Kernel Manager open ElementalX screen and you can find the file that has been automatically downloaded itself.

If you don’t have Ex kernel manager, then install the latest ElementalX version on your device, reboot to TWRP recovery and flash ElementalX zip file.
