Every Qualcomm device has an in-built Wcd9xx audio DAC. Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) is a device that that converts digital audio signals to analog audio signals. Even thought the Audio DAC on Qualcomm devices is in-built, it has the advantage to be configurable on various parameters. You can enable and disable some options to tweak the settings.
In this post, you will find a specific module that enables the “High-performance mode” of the phone’s DAC so it will maximize its power and bring the best audio quality than before, probably, the best audio quality possible.
Requirements
- You need to have a custom recovery installed on your phone. If you haven’t installed one yet take a look at our custom recovery section. It’s recommended to get the latest build.
- Root access is also needed. Besides root access, you need also Magisk. It is the best alternative to SuperSU with plenty of more features.

How to improve sound quality on Qualcomm devices
Basically, this is a simple procedure. All you need to do is to flash a file using recovery and reboot your phone. You can download the mod from the XDA official thread and flash it via recovery.
Do not forget to wipe cache and Dalvik cache after you install the mod.
