Requirements:

  • A rooted Moto G.
  • A custom recovery installed.
  • A flashable boot animation zip file.

The first thing you have to do is to backup the stock boot animation, because even if the custom boot animation doesn’t work you still can install the stock animation. To do a backup you have to download Zipme app from Play Store. Once you downloaded and installed, open the app and tap on “Bootanimation”. It will make a flashable zip file. Copy the zip file somewhere on SDcard so it will be safe.

Installation

  • Download or create a flashable zip boot animation file.
  • Put it on the phone memory.
  • Boot your phone into recovery.
  • Flash the zip file.
  • Reboot.
  • Enjoy!

When the phone will turn on you will see the new boot animation playing on your Moto G.
