Today is the day for Galaxy S6 and S6 users who will enjoy the latest goodies from the Galaxy Note 5. I’m talking about all the featured apps of Note 5. They are ported to Galaxy S6 and S6 users thanks to a developer at the XDA forum named as Albe95. Despite the fact that Note 5 is a brand new device and isn’t on all the markets worldwide, the developer managed to get the device and port all the featured apps.
It’s not a long time since the Galaxy S6 was released and now Samsung decided to bring another beast on the Android world. The next flagship, Galaxy Note 5 is already in all the markets in the USA and soon you can find it in every market world wide. Galaxy Note 5 is here as the successor of the popular Note series. It looks more than an improvement variant of Galaxy S6 that brings both hardware and software improvements.
We can’t do anything related to hardware but when it comes to software developers work hard to port the latest feature for you to enjoy it. There are many Android freaks including me, who always wanna try all the latest stuff. Samsung has lot of things to enjoy when release a new device so if you really like to enjoy the latest goodies then you will need to follow our blog regularly because we bring fresh news always for you.
If you are wondering what kind of apps are ported, below is a list with all the apps. I can’t say if they are ported all but one thing is sure, they are ported directly from Galaxy Note 5 and tested to work on Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Also you can download Note 5 firmware for a full experience. You can easily install it like a Custom ROM.
- Galaxy Note 5 Launcher
- Note 5 Mail
- Note 5 File Manager
- Note 5 Calendar & Calculator
- Note 5 Browser
- Note 5 Memo
- Note 5 Music Player
- Note 5 Gallery
- Note 5 Camera
- Note 5 Message App
- Note 5 S Health
- Note 5 Voice Recorder
- Note 5 Contacts
- Note 5 Dialer
- Note 5 S Voice
- Note 5 Video Recorder
- Note 5 S Planner
- Note 5 Clock & Alarm
These Galaxy Note 5 apps you can install right away on your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. But if you think it will be so easy and if you are new to Android then I have to say it’s not so easy like clicking the “Next” button until it says finish. You will need a little bit more work. Firstly you will need to root your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge and then install a File Manager with root access. You can find a lot of them on Play Store.
After rooting your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge go and download Note 5 Apps and then all the work you have to do is to copy some apk files and move them to specific folders in order to fully work. Also you need to be in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop otherwise they won’t work. If you are in a stock Odex ROM you will need to delete ARM Folder because the apps won’t work.
Unfortunately for now the apps are ported only for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge but we are expecting the developers to port them even for other devices. So you better stay tuned and subscribe to receive all the latest stuff directly on your email. If you are experiencing any trouble with the apps feel free to ask in the comment section below. Or if you have any other recommendation you want to share with Android users than you are welcomed to comment or contact us.
