Today we are going learn how to install java games over bluetooth , USB cable and even Infrared using Softick PPP. You may have heard before that this app allows you to transfer java games and apps but what you may have not heard is that Softick PPP is very useful to install java games/apps using USB cable or bluetooth. This tutorial will teach you a step by step guide how to do that.

Download
To install java games or applications on your Samsung D600/D900 you will need only these two programs.
- Softick PPP 2.34 [861 kB]
- Java Uploader [624 kB]
Just download these apps but do not install them.
Step 1 – Preparation
- Take your phone and go to Applications > Java World > Options
- In the options menu open the network settings and fill the following:
- APN: Internet
- Username: Leave Blank
- Password: Leave Blank
- Proxy: Off
- Save Settings.
Now you will have to install Softick PPP
How To Install Softick PPP
Simply download and install Softick PPP. It is designed for Palm users so if you get any error such as unable to locate USBPORT.dll just ignore them.
When you get to configure USB share mode, choose the exclusive mode.
Do not run Softick yet.
Install java games and apps using an USB cable
- Plug the USB cable.
- Run Samsung’s PIM & File Manager to make sure that you are connected.
- If you are not connected, restart your phone and try again.
- Once you are connected close Samsung’s PC Studio to avoid problems.
- Enable Serial Java Developer and your phone by entering this code #*536963#.
- Run Softick but don’t activate yet.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth/Serial to check if it has a connection such as \Device\ss_mdm0
- If so then select it other wise exit the Softick PPP and go back the beginning.
- You may find the proper COM setting from the windows device manager->modems->Samsung Mobile USB modem
Active Softick PPP. When you activate Softick PPP you may get an error. Jus’t ignore it.
If your phone crashes try one of the following actions:
- Switch the phone off/on
- Deactivate Softick PPP
- Disconnect the USB cable and then connect it again.
- Start EasyStudio to check if the computer can connect to your phone.
- Activate Softick PPP
Now go to the first step and try to upload java apps again.
Install Java Games/Apps Via Bluetooth
- Plug the USB cable.
- Run Samsung’s PIM & File Manager to make sure you are connected.
- If you can’t connect try switching your phone off and on then try again. Remember the COM Port you used for bluetooth connection.
- Once you are connected close Samsung’s PC Studio to avoid problems.
- Enable Serial Java Download by pressing #*536963#
- Run Softick but do not activate yet.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth/Serial and select the COM Port you used to connect your phone with Samsung’s PIM & File Manager.
Active Softick PPP. When you activate Softick PPP you may get an error. Just ignore it.
If your phone crashes try one of the following actions:
- Switch the phone off/on.
- De-activate Softick PPP.
- Unplug the USB cable and then plug it again.
- Start EasyStudio to check if the computer can connect with the phone.
- Activate Softick PPP.
- Go to the beggining and try uploading apps or games again.
The Final Step
Enter Serial Java menu #*5737425#, and choose PPP UP and then USB. Please bear in mind, just do it once for each switch on/off.
Run ‘Uploader.exe’ program and add a jad file.
Now in the same Serial Java menu, select Serial Download.
The java applet should now be installed .If u have a firewall, you must allow “Java Uploader” and “Softick PPP” to access the net.
If you get an error message try again and it should work.
When finished, use the code #*536961# to avoid problems with WAP. Do this every time your phone crashes and restarts!
