Today is very hard to root and install a Custom ROM on your Android device without loosing the warranty. Especially on Samsung devices this is becoming harder due to the KNOX software that Samsung has implemented on the software of its latest Galaxy devices.
Older Android devices can be rooted very easy. If the device encounter any problem you simply can install a stock firmware, send it back to the store under warranty and no one would notice that you have rooted your phone. Unfortunately this thing it’s not easy with latest Galaxy devices.
Samsung has implemented the KNOX feature to its software so if you will root the phone the KNOX value will be tripped and you can’t do anything to revert it back. The value will change from 0x0 to 0x1 and nothing can’t reset it back. If the KNOX value is tripped you will lose your warranty.
Galaxy S6 is already rooted with CF-Auto Root but it will trigger the KNOX and your warranty will be voided. This is not a good thing for Galaxy S6 users. But if you can’t reset the KNOX value you can prevent it from tripping. Times ago we saw a root tool named as “Towelroot” which root all KitKat Galaxy devices without tripping the KNOX. Unfortunately the exploit got patched few times later.
Now that Galaxy S6 has come plethora of users were asking for a way to root it without tripping the KNOX. The TouchWiz on Galaxy S6 comes redesigned with more security features but this doesn’t stop developers to create a tool which will root the device without tripping KNOX value.
The tool is already created and it will root almost all the Galaxy S6 variants without tripping KNOX. It is named as PingPongRoot tool and will root all the Galaxy S6 without triggering KNOX value.
If your Galaxy S6 is running one of the following firmware you can continue and root it.
