Every high end Android device comes with a pre-installed Power Saving Mode feature. Every OEM has its own specific power saver mode. Sony has Stamina Mode which until now have seen to be the best leaving behind Samsung’s Ultra Power Saving Mode and HTC with Extreme Power Saving Mode.
All these power saving modes have something in common, to reduce phone performance and save battery life. Sony Stamina Mode is the best because it will increase battery lifetime without degrading performance a lot. While other Power Saving Modes features allows you to perform only few actions, Sony Stamina Mode let you to do more things and the battery will last more.
Unfortunately Stamina Mode can be found only on stock Sony Xperia Firmware. Until now we haven’t found the original apk file to be ported to all Android devices. So if you wan’t to install a Custom ROM on your Sony Xperia you will not have the Stamina Mode feature installed. It’s a pity to lose a feature like that mostly if you are a Sony Xperia user.
But if you have installed already a Custom ROM on your Sony Xperia device ore you are using another device and want to have Sony Stamina Mode go and grab the Power Nap module for Xposed Framework. It will bring all the features of Stamina Mode on your device.
Power Nap is a Xposed Module. It is tested and work the same as Sony Stamina Mode. It replicates all its features and brings a few extra options to save as much battery as possible. The best feature of this module is “Endurance Mode”. It will disable mobile data while the screen is off. Also you can select a list of apps you don’t want to run in background.
How To Install Power Nap Module (Stamina Mode) on Any Android Device
As I say before this is a Xposed Module, so you will need to install Xposed Framework before. After installing the framework you can continue to install the module.
The first step you have to do is to join Alpha Tester community on Google plus. Once you are accepted as a member of the community opt-in to become a tester and download the module.
Download the module and install it. Then open Xposed -> Installer -> Modules and activate Power Nap Module. Open it and configure the settings.
