The guys behind the CynanogenMod started work on a new build of the most popular Custom ROM for Android. They begin working on CM 14.1 builds since August but it was sure that nothing will come to light immediately. Anyhow it was good to know that developers had begun to work on the new version of this ROM.

The ROM, CM14.1 is available for several devices because the developer can’t build a ROM for every single phone and tablet. But on the other side there are plethora of Custom ROMs based directly or indirectly on CM. What’s more excited is that some devices that are disbanded by OEM will receive Android 7.0.

The CM team launched the first official nightlies a few days ago. To be more specific they were released on November 8th, 2016. They features Android 7.1. The first CM 14.1 Nightlies were available for the following devices:

The developers didn’t give much information about the features that will be missing and those that are included.

They did say only that the CyanogenMod Theme Engine would not be included in the first set of nightly builds of CM 14.1.
