Download HTC One M9 CyanogenMod 12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

The most popular Custom ROM has made its way to HTC One M9. We are talking about CyanogenMod 12.1 which is already ported to M9 and you can enjoy stock Android on your device. Simply you will need to download CyanogenMod CM 12.1 and follow the steps below to install it.

While the other devices from the tech giants like Samsung, Sony and others are enjoying Android 5.1.1, there is no word from HTC is it will release an update for the last end devices. So a good idea is to download CyanogenMod CM 12.1 for HTC One M9.

This is an unofficial build of the ROM and all the credits go for XDA Members named as varun.chitre 15, Rashed97 and Flinny which have created the ROM for HTC One M9. The number of users testing the ROM is growing day by day and no issues are found. Only USB OTG and camera are reported as non working. CyanogenMod 12.1 works almost for all the HTC One M9 variants including:

  • Verizon HTC One M9
  • AT&T HTC One M9

How To Install CyanogenMod 12.1 On HTC One M9

  • Download both CM 12.1 ROM and Gapps and put them somewhere on your internal storage.
  • Turn of your phone and boot into Recovery.
  • Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache and Factory Reset your phone.
  • Flash the CyanogenMod 12.1 zip file.
  • Flash Android 5.1.1 Gapps.
  • Reboot your phone and you are done.

Even though it is not the final release of the ROM, it is stable enough to install and test CM 12.1 on your HTC One M9.
