If you have this device in your hand it’s a pity not to use Custom Supports since it release the real power of the device.
To begin flashing, playing and tweaking with your Galaxy Note Edge, firstly you will need to have a Custom Recovery installed. If you can’t wait to modify, play and enjoy the features and the power of Galaxy Note Edge which has a Snapdragon 805 Quad Core CPU 2.7 GHz and 3 GB Ram. Preparations
- This Guide is only for Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915K & SM-N915S Korean. Don’t try to flash this file on ony other phone because it will result in bricking your device. Go to Settings > About Phone and make sure that your phone model number match to one provided above.
- Check your phone battery and make sure it is charged at least 70% so it will not go dead during the flashing procedure. It it goes dead will result in soft bricking and you will need to wipe the data as well.
- You will have to flash the Custom Recovery using Odin3, so you have to turn on Samsung KIES, Windows Firewall and the Antivirus software if you are using one.
- Just to be safe make a backup. In case everything goes wrong you will still have access to your files and recover them immediately.
Downloads
- Downland Samsung USB drivers and install them.
- Download Odin3 V3.09.
- Download N915X-CWM-recovery-6.0.5.1(1205).tar
How To Install CWM Custom Recovery On Galaxy Note Edge N915K & N915S
- Find and open Odin3 file you downloaded.
- Boot your phone into Download Mode. You can do it by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power Button + Home Key. Once you see a warming, press Volume Up to continue.
- After you successfully put your device into Download Mode, plug it to PC.
- Open Odin3 and check the ID:COM BOX. When your phone is detected it should turns blue.
- Click the ‘AP’ tab, in case you are using Odin3 V3.07 click on ‘PDA’ tab.
- Make sure to check only Auto Restart and F.reset from the options on the left side on Odin3.
- Once you click ‘AP’ or ‘PDA’ tab, a new window will open where you have to chose the recovery file you downloaded.
- Once the file is loaded, click start and wait for the process to finish.
- Wait for your phone to reboot and then unplug it from PC.
- That’s all.
