Get the Full Google Pixel Experience on Any Android Device [Launcher, Apps, Bootanimation etc]

It has been a while since Google released the Pixel device. They were quite good even though most of the people were a bit disappointed because they were expecting something better. Well, Google Pixel and Pixel XL are such great devices and they bring huge improvements over the last Google Nexus especially on the software.

So if you want to get the full Google Pixel Experience you are in the right place. In this post, you are going to learn how to install Google Pixel Features on other devices.

Here’s what’s included:

• Google Pixel Launcher
• Wallpaper Picker
• Google Pixel Dialer
• Google Pixel Bootanimation
• Pixel Assistant
• Google Pixel Assistant

The Google Pixel Launcher will work on any device running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or a newer version. You can always try to install the Android 6 version on Android 5.x but we haven’t tested it so no warranty for that.

The Google Assistant will work only on Android 7.0 and later. If you install the zip on Android 6.x, it will install the new Google search app. The Google Assistant won’t work.

If you do not like the new apps, at the end of the post there is a way how to get back the old apps. It works but if doesn’t work, remember you did the changes on your own risk.

Preparations

There are no special preparations. You only should have a Custom Recovery installed and at least 50% battery. If you don’t have a recovery installed check here to find one for your device. Since you will install a recovery I recommend you to do a Nandroid backup just in case things go wrong you can restore the backup of your current ROM anytime.

On the link above you will find a couple of zip files. Google Pixel Experience will install the new Google Launcher, Dialer, Bootanimation and Ringtones and also Google Velvet/

To install Google Assistant you need to flash the “GoogleAssistantBuildProp.zip” and then copy “tweaks.prop” on your device.

Google Pixel Ringtones: Download the GooglePixelExperience.zip from the link above and flash the file. It will install also the other Pixel App. If you want to get only the Pixel Ringtones then extract the zip and copy the files to /system/media/audio to the correct folder.

How to revert back

Download a root file manager. Open it and activate root access then go to /system/priv-app/dialer and/NexusLauncherPrebuild and remove the whole folder. Reboot the phone and you’re done.
