Also before flashing the zip files or extract and push the .xml file to your system, rename the original mixer_paths.xml to mixer_paths.xml.bak so you the original file easily accessible.

Download the sound mod zip file you are interested and also download the Revert to stock zip. Copy these file to the external SDcard so they will be safe whatever it happens. Then boot your Note 4 into Recovery. Turn off your phone and the turn it on again using Home + Volume Up + Power button simultaneously. Then you will see your phone booting into Recovery.
Then navigate to flash zip files and choose the Sound Mod zip you downloaded and flash it. It is not necessary to wipe cache but we suggest doing it. So using recovery wipe cache. If you have rooted your phone using CF Root, you may experience some issues mounting the cache partitions.
There are two ways to fix this and they both works. The first mode is very simple and all you have to do is to Wipe Dalvik Cache Only. Wipe both Dalvik Cache and Cache. If this works for you, you will be able to wipe caches without mounting errors.
