Goon news coming from Samsung. Galaxy S5 finally received Android 5.0 Lollipop update. It’s not anymore a Custom ROM, it’s the official Touchwiz version and it is announced by Samsung. Who will ever think that Samsung will bring such a major update just in few time. Because we have never heard until now a Samsung device to receive an update in just only a month.
The first model which is receiving the upgrade is SM-G900F which is a unlocked device. The update at first start rolling out in Poland and after that, it will be available in all the European countries in few days. But for the USA variants beacuse the carrier cerftificatin, the procces will be a little slowly. The new version number of Android Lollipop for Galaxy S5 is G900FXXU1BNL2 with a LRX21P Android build.

Based on riviews and the screenshots posted by Sammobile, the device seem to be faster than before and with a better touch response due to the new system runtime, ART. Android Lollipop for Galaxy S5 seems to be a faster version and til now no one had experienced a lag or something like that. This might be due to the ART System Runtime or maybe Samsung have worked to much in developing this system and optimise it to give users an ultimate version of Lollipop. How To Official Upgrade Samsung Galaxy S5 – SM-G900F to Android 5.0 Lollipop TouchWiz.
The most fastest and safest way is to upgrade using an OTA (Over The Air Update. Take your phone and go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update. Let the phone check for updates. If the update is available it will promt you to download it. Download and install it.

Flash the Firmware Using ODIN
If an OTA isn’t available in your country yet, you can install the Firmware using ODIN. It is an awesome tool which allows you to installed Firmware on Samsung devices.

Using KIES
KIES is Samsung official tool to update firmware. If you prefer to use KIES, download it on your phone and install it. Then connect your phone to PC through an USB cable. Click on ‘Check for Update’. A new window will open to download the update. Once downloaded install it.
