How to Unlock Bootloader Huawei P9 Lite

To unlock the bootloader on your Huawei P9 Lite go to the Unlocking Code website. Login the site with the Huawei ID that you made on Huawei Cloud or Themes Store.

If the site above is not working then go to this site.

To get the unlocking code you have to use the Serial Number which is written in the box of your phone. It should look something like HUAWEI VNS-L21 or similar. Fill all the box and the captcha also and click Submit to get the Unlocking Code.

With that code you can easily unlock Huawei P9 Lite bootloader.

If the product ID is incorrect as the website says then you should download the attached PC Software “Huawei Product ID Generator”.

Download it and extract the zip file. Open the folder and from there you will be able to generate a Product ID for your phone. Write down the code you will receive and then go to your phone Settings > About Phone > Build Number. Tap several times on it until a message appears and says “You’re now a developer”

Go to Settings > Developer Options and enable USB Debugging. 

Now connect your phone to PC through a USB cable and select the MTP/Files. You will also need to download and install ADB drivers. You can follow this quick guide to install and properly configure on your device.

Open the ADB folder and right-click on a blank space.

Choose “Open Command Window” here and then connect your phone to the computer as a media device.

Now, once the phone is connected to computer write down the following code:

• adb reboot bootloader

The device will reboot and then you should type the following code:

• fastboot oem unlock ******** 

Replace the asterisk with the unlock code and hit Enter, the bootloader should be unlocked now. Reboot your phone and you’re good to go. Now you can go and root your device, install a custom recovery and also a custom ROM.
