How To Root One Plus One On CyanogenMod 12
CM Root
CM root is a tool similar to SuperSU created by Chainfire. You probably have heard about it because it’s the most popular tool for rooting. CM Root is the same as SuperSU but is designed to work better on CyanogenMod 12S ROM for one PlusOne devices. It also offers a few extra options like Privacy Guard Integration.
To root your one Plus One with CM Root, you must install a Custom Recovery. After installing a Custom recovery like TWRP or CWM you can procced with rooting for the One Plus One CyanogenMod 12S.
- Download CM Root file and put it on the root folder of your internal memory.
- Press the Power button to turn off your phone.
- Boot it into Recovery.
- Flash the CM Root zip file.
- That’s all! You have successfully rooted your One Plus One CyanogenMod 12S.
SuperSU
If you thought that SuperSu doesn’t support One Plus One CyanogenMod 12S than you are wrong. SuperSu suports almost every Android device. I left it in the second way because it’s recommended to root One Plus One CyanogenMod 12S with CM Root due to the fact it is designed for that ROM and has a few extra features.
If you like more the famous tool of Chainfire, go ahead and download SuperSU-v1.94.zip. To install it you will need a Custom Recovery.
- Download SuperSU and move on the internal memory of the phone.
- Boot into Recovery.
- Wipe Cache.
- Flash SuperSu zip file.
- That’s all.
