  • You must have the IMEI number of your iPhone or iPad device.
  • A computer with internet access

Now open this link on your computer. You will se something like the image below:

Enter the IMEI number or Serial Number of the device. Read the Captcha code carefully and then click continue. After clicking on continue, a message will appear and show you if the Activation Lock is on

If the person who is selling you the iPhone or iPad device is the owner, he will remove the Apple id and the phone is ready to use by another owner.
